Primos is a popular brand among deer hunters and the Primos Truth Cam 35 has been a hit with trail camera enthusiast. It is a little larger than the Moultrie M100 and measures in at 7" x 9" x 3". You can attribute much of this size increase on the larger IR LED array.

The 3MP resolution and the large 35 IR LED array produce high quality day and night time trail camera photos. Primos list the trigger speed around 1.5 seconds which should be plenty fast enough for a food plot or feeder. Setup of the Primos Truth Cam 35 is fairly simple to use and setup. The trail camera runs on D-cell batteries which are larger and you don't have the option for the NiMH rechargable like you do for AA's.

The only major complaint we have or have heard for the Primos Truth Cam 35 is a loud clunk noise when the camera takes a picture. This is caused by the infrared filter moving into and out of position depending upon the use for daytime or night time photos. Many folks have chimed in to say they doubt the noise will bother the deer, but a lot of deer are staring at the camera for the picture.

For under a $120 this is not a bad camera. You can get about 4 of these for the price of a Reconyx HC600 and cover a lot of ground. Check out the Primos Truth Cam 35 reviews below and hear what other hunters are saying about their experience with the trail camera.

Not a bad camera for the money. It does take great pics day and night. Trigger speeed is as fast as you can get for $100. Hoever it is a little noisy and battery life id marginal.

I have had a Primos Truth Cam 35 in the woods since before the snow melted in northern Maine, which is going on six months now. It is a very good camera for the price, and may prove to be better than several far more expensive cameras, although personal experience thus far is restricted to the Primos products. I also have a Truth Cam 46.

As for the audible click that the Truth Cam 35 makes when taking a photograph, my experience is that, far from spooking wildlife, it prompts them to look in the direction of the camera, yielding better photographs.

In the time that my Truth Cam 35 has been in the field, a black bear has tried to maul it four times, smudged the lens once by putting its nose directly on the camera, and rubbed its back on the camera while it was in video mode. Curiosity over the camera has led to some very close up photos and video of black bear and moose. Of the animals I have captured on camera, only the white-tailed deer appear to be overly wary of the camera, but they have not been spooked either.

I purchased 2 cameras in Sept 11 with great pictures, day and night! One of the cameras just stopped working after 1 1/2 months. Tried trouble shooting via email on Primos web site(poor tech support). Still using the other camera. I was able to replace the faulty camera where I purchased it, with a moultrie M80. Don’t think Will Primos would be happy with the tech support I recieved.
