I bought this camera because I thought that Cuddeback was the best manufacturer and IR was the best way to go. When I first got the camera it worked well. After approx. 6 months, it got into a mode that it took pictures on a constant basis without being triggered by motion. ie – It was taking pictures every 5 minutes (5 minutes time delay was set) throughout the day and night. (It was really cool seeing bugs go up a tree, but it was really boring going through all of the photos.) I called Cuddeback and they replaced the camera. The new camera takes photos that are more fuzzy during the day and much more grainy at night with the IR. The fuzzyness is frustrating and the graininess is plain unacceptable to me. I contacted Cuddeback again and sent photos. They tell me that they made improvements in the night time capture and the tradeoff was the graininess. I got no explaination for the daytime fuzziness. They told me that what I am now seeing is normal for this product. I’d really like to get my old camera performance back without the failure. No such luck! I’m very disappointed with Cuddeback and highly recommend looking at other products before purchasing a Cuddeback.
